A MagicPak is an all-in-one heating and cooling unit built for condos and apartments. It stands in a closet inside the home and vents through a louver in the outside wall. There is no condenser outside and nothing on the roof.

Same footprint for 55 years
The MagicPak design has kept its dimensions since the first units went in, which is why a replacement is a footprint-for-footprint swap: the new unit goes right where the old one is.
Usually replaced in a day
Most companies will not touch them. We do them all the time. For a straight swap, the old unit is out and the new one is running the same day, with no changes to the building.
Which units we replace
Gas, heat pump or electric, M-Series or V-Series
We replace the current MagicPak lines: the M-Series gas models, the M-Series heat pump, the M-Series electric model, and the V-Series electric and gas units. If you are not sure which one is in your closet, the nameplate inside the closet door tells us, and we confirm it before we order anything.
We also handle the parts of the job that stop other companies: the wall sleeve, the louver, the gas or electrical connection, the condensate line and the permit.

How do I know if I have a MagicPak?
Open the closet that holds your heating and cooling unit. A MagicPak is a tall, single cabinet with a MagicPak or Allied Air nameplate, and there is a louver on the outside wall behind it instead of a condenser outside. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the nameplate.
Why do so few companies replace them?
They are a specialty product. The unit has to be ordered through the right supply channel, moved through the building, fitted to the existing wall sleeve and louver, and connected the way the building was designed. We have done enough of them that it is routine for us.
How accurate is the instant estimate?
It is an honest installed range based on your answers and what MagicPak replacements typically cost. Before any work begins we confirm the exact model from your nameplate and the exact price at your unit, and you approve it first.
Will someone need to come out?
Not to see your range. That shows right on this page. To turn it into an exact price, one of our team visits to check the unit, the sleeve, the louver and the connections. You pick the time.
Do I need my association’s approval?
Often the unit inside your home is yours to replace, while the louver and the wall belong to the building. Many associations ask for notice or a certificate of insurance before work starts. We have done this many times and can give you what your board needs.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Current plans include 0% APR for 24, 36 or 60 months and a 120-month plan at 2.99% APR, all with approved credit through third-party lenders. On an $11,500 unit that is as low as $111 a month on the 120-month plan.
How long does the replacement take?
A straight swap is usually a day once the unit is in hand. We give you a real install date when we confirm your quote, and we coordinate access with the building if it needs it.
Do you also repair and maintain MagicPak units?
Yes. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, that is what we will tell you, and Comfort Club maintenance covers MagicPak units the same as any other system.
